Keshan Samarasinghe is working as a Consultant to Asian Development Bank and, he is a member of the Future Energy Leaders program in the World Energy Council. He obtained a master’s degree in environmental engineering and Management from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Moratuwa specializing in Chemical and Process Engineering. He was a training engineer at the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority. He has been involved in different assignments in the energy sector under the Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department and the South Asia Regional Department in ADB. He has worked on project development and implementation such as microgrid, renewable energy project (solar, wind, and waste-to-energy), and energy efficiency. Keshan is a co-author of several publications on renewable energy, policies, and strategies development in regional context covering countries particularly Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
